Early in my mountaineering experience, as I was transitioning from backpacker to climber,moncler jacken, I was taught to respect the mountain. Mountains create their own weather, conceal their secrets, and contain their surprises. True climbers admit that mountains are not conquered, they do or they do not allow us to climb them.

Many people can quote the 23rd Psalm from memory… “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.” Psalm 24 is less well-known:

“Who can climb Mount God? Who can scale the holy north face? Only the clean-handed, only the pure-hearted; men who won’t cheat….”

Integrity and humility go a long way in climbing the great peaks of the world. Those qualities evidently go a long way with God. Those qualities plus a teachable spirit:

When Jesus saw his ministry drawing huge crowds, he climbed a hillside. Those who were apprenticed to him, the committed,moncler daunenjacke, climbed with him. Arriving a quiet place, he sat down and taught his climbing companions.
